Using this site

Just a Timer provides free timers -- an online countdown timer, a countdown-to-a-date timer, a stopwatch, a Pomodoro timer, and a work/rest interval timer, plus a set of preset-duration pages -- for general, informational use. No account or sign-up is required, and there is no charge to use any page on this site.

Not a certified timing device

These timers run in your web browser using its built-in clock and are not a substitute for a certified stopwatch, a laboratory or industrial timing instrument, or any safety-critical timing device. Browser behavior, device performance, and system clock accuracy can all affect precision at the margins; nothing on this site should be relied on where an error of a second or more would have a safety, medical, legal, or competitive consequence.

Local storage and notifications

Some preferences (your last-used duration, mute setting and alarm tone) are stored in your browser's localStorage so they carry over between visits, and the Online Timer can request permission to show a browser notification when a countdown finishes if you opt in. Both are standard browser features you control through your own browser settings; see the Privacy Policy for details.

No affiliation

Just a Timer is an independent site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any fitness brand, productivity method, sports organization, or any other entity referenced in this site's content (such as the Pomodoro Technique or Tabata training).

No warranty

This site is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of any timer or content on this site is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Just a Timer and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its content, including any workout, scheduling, or productivity decisions made using its timers.

Advertising

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. See the Privacy Policy for details on how those networks use cookies and similar technologies.

Content

The text, design, and code on this site belong to Just a Timer unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to link to any page here; please don't republish or scrape the content wholesale without permission.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
